Transcription into IPA from any language is the same - the sounds you write down are the sounds you hear, so it almost doesn't matter what the language is (depending on how close a transcription you want to make). Having said that, it does help to have some idea of what is being said, and also we don't always say exactly what "should" be in the word and this is usually mirrored in phonetic transcription. for example: the difference between /p/ and /b/ is only that for one the vocal folds vibrate and for the other they don't.
