Q. So i am 15 and its the end of the year. i havent been to any parties. whenever people are planning them i feel self consious and go home or hang with kids i dont know well. How do i get invited to parties without coming off too strong. Is it because im still a freshman. Im friends with popular kids. You say you are a freshman but do not say how old the kids are at the parties. Maybe they are jrs. or srs.? Some people don't wait for an invite. They will ask if they can appear at a party. Some people just show up. You would not come off as "coming on too strong" if you asked because that's how a lot of people get to a party. Something formal like a wedding would be a violation of etiquette if you showed up uninvited or even asked to come to if you weren't invited. Try asking, it won't hurt.
