Q. I'm no longer living in Texas. In 2005 I got pulled over for not wearing a seat belt. I was 8 months pregnant at the time. The officer did not write me a ticket off the seat belt. He wrote me a ticket for no registration, and no insurance. I was in a friends a car, and I didn't know where this info was. My friend and I had a falling out, and I never got that info from her. My court date was actually the day I went into labor. I just got a bill (it's now 2009) from Texas saying I owe $1500 for failure to appear, no reg, no insurance. What are my options?
