Are the horror remakes good for horror movies?
Q. I always get a sick feeling in my stomach when I hear they're remaking a classic horror movie... but I do have to admit I really liked Zach Snyder's remake of Dawn of the Dead (I actually like it way more than the original), and I also really liked Alexandre Aja's remake of The Hills Have Eyes. I can apprecate the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre films for what they are...I mean they're not better than the original Tobe Hooper or part II with Bill Moseley but I like them. Anyhow, even though I think SCREAM was the classic horror film of the 90s, I also think it ruined horror films for that decade as the hundreds of copy cat films that followed were awful. So I think that the remakes were a good kick in the pants...like HEY this is what these… [cont.]

A. Horror Films, like any story, should be told over and over again for each new generation. If the story is solid, then it will stand the test of time and still be relevant to each new audience. I have discovered that it is like a point of bonding for people in different generations.

What is the real problem with the Redskins offense?
Q. Getting past the obvious leadership quagmire Snyder created in the organization, on the field, what is the source of their issues? I am a fan, but I can't decide if the problem is Jason Campbell or the offensive line's inability to protect Jason Campbell, and as a fan, I am really having a hard time deciding if I want Campbell back next year or not. Is this just a bad fit or what? Would they be better served to keep Campbell and draft offensive lineman in next year's draft or get them through free agency? I live in Texas, so I am hoping some fans around D.C. could perhaps share some local insight into what people in the local media think the real problem is. Of course, giving up 45 points doesn't help either, but that is a different… [cont.]

A. The Skins are decimated on their offensive line, and the announcers talked about that last night during the game. The injury bug has hit them hard, so from that aspect, all you can do is plug in other players and hope they step up. I don't know but so much when it comes to football, but I will say this regarding Jason Campbell: he is a tough player who kept taking hit after hit but kept on trying. I fear though that the key word is "try" and that ultimately effort may not be enough. He throws a lot of interceptions and I think he panics too much, not that I blame him on some of them. I think the primary factor missing in the offense can be summed up in one word: leadership! Who is leading the team? Zorn lost play-calling duties,… [cont.]
